Kyler Hardy
Kyler Hardy – President & Director

Mr. Hardy is a seasoned and successful entrepreneur who has been involved in mineral exploration and the mining industry for fourteen plus years. During his career he has gained experience internationally as well as across Canada. He is a founder and former CEO of a geosciences and logistics management business which specializes in the exploration and development of projects in remote areas. Mr. Hardy is experienced in project generation, exploration management, logistics, raising capital, corporate development and developing alliances and strategic partnerships.

Everett Makela
Everett Makela – VP of Exploration

Mr. Makela brings over 30 years of exploration experience to the team. During a career with Inco and Vale, Everett held roles of increasing responsibility in settings ranging from grassroots evaluations to near-mine resource definition. The knowledge and expertise gained while working with a global leader in nickel production has prepared him well for the role of technical lead in the Equitas quest for Canada’s next nickel discovery. He excels at target generation, design and implementation of exploration programs, and the creation of joint venture and alliance opportunities. Everett holds an Honours Bachelor of Science in Geology from Laurentian University, and is a member of APGO, PEGNL, PDAC and SEG. He retired from Vale as Principal Geologist, North America in 2012. He is Director of the private consulting firm EFMX Consulting Ltd.

Alan King
Alan King – Consulting Geophysicist (Geoscience North)

Mr. King has worked as a geophysicist in exploration and resource development for over forty years. He is a highly regarded professional in geophysics and new technology in exploration, mining, environmental, geotechnical. He was a senior geophysicist for Inco Exploration and Technical Services and was promoted to Manager of Geophysics with responsibility for global exploration. With the takeover of Inco by Vale he spent time in Brazil and later became Chief Geophysicist for Vale Global Exploration working on geophysical applications as well as target generation.

Neil McCallum
Neil McCallum – Project Manager (Dahrouge Geological Consulting)

Mr. McCallum has approximately 10 years of experience primarily in North American mineral deposit exploration, with a focus on targeting and discovery of specialty-metal deposits. He is currently a Senior Geologist at Edmonton based Dahrouge Geological Consulting Ltd. Mr. McCallum has managed and conducted exploration campaigns for a multitude of commodities including uranium, rare-metals, diamonds, coal, base-metals and precious-metals. His experience includes target generation and planning, hiring, logistics, land management, data compilation, project reviews and management.

Dan Lee
Dan Lee – Consulting Geologist
Mr. Lee has over 25 years of experience as a geologist ranging from government surveys and basic grass roots exploration to providing critical inputs to multi-disciplinary teams assessing the economic viability of mineral resources. Born in Goose Bay, Labrador he started out as a government geologist, gaining extensive experience during studies of Labrador geology. Later he took on a lead exploration role with Archean Resources, discovery team of the Voisey’s Bay mine. After the acquisition by Inco Mr. Lee had the unique opportunity to study all of the deposits in detail working for Inco. His team developed a progressive depositional model of the deposits which was the framework that guides exploration at Voisey’s Bay. With Vale-Inco he successfully worked with Aboriginal Groups to develop businesses and established the Safety Management System used by the two companies.
Sean Kingsley
Sean Kingsley – Manager, Corporate Communications

Mr. Kingsley has been working in the mineral exploration industry for over eight years. He’s worked on a variety of different metals and minerals for companies like Fission Energy, Kenai Resources and Callinex Mines. He’s passionate about sharing and educating the benefits of the mineral exploration and mining industry. He sits as Chair of the Communications & Marketing Committee at the Association of Mineral Exploration BC. Also hosts the mineral exploration, and mining networking event, Mining 4 Beer in Vancouver, BC.

Raymond Goldie
Raymond Goldie – Director

Raymond Goldie brings extensive industry experience to Equitas. He is a VP, Senior Mining Analyst for Salman Partners. Over 20 years as a mining analyst and industry economist covering non-precious and precious metals and fertilizer companies.He is the author of “Inco comes to Labrador”; a book on Inco’s acquisition, progression and development of the Voisey’s Bay nickel deposit. Mr. Goldie frequently appears on national television and as a keynote speaker at mining conferences.

David Hodge
David Hodge – Director

Mr. David Hodge, President and Director of Zimtu Capital Corp. has an extensive background in business that includes over fifteen years of experience in the management and financing of publicly-traded companies. Mr. Hodge has been a director of mineral exploration companies since 1996 and some of his many strengths lie in leadership and imaginative direction. His success has been founded on a belief in team building, consultation and strong leadership, as well as a willingness to incorporate expert advice into a viable working enterprise.

Qianjie Wang
Qianjie Wang – Director

Mr. Qianjie Wang is an experienced geologist with extensive experience in North America and internationally, managing a wide range of mineral and exploration projects. Mr. Wang is Deputy Manager of Overseas Development for Zijin Mining Group and has a master degree in Mineralogy and Petrology and is in charge of projects generation, study and due diligence for Zijin. He has been involved in all Zijin’s overseas investments and M&A transactions which include Pretium, Kolwezi, Barrick’s Porgera and Ivanhoe’s Kamoa.

Tim Fernback
Tim Fernback – Director

Tim brings to Equitas over twenty years of experience in financing and managing public and private junior companies. Previously he oversaw a prominent British Columbia venture capital firm specializing in financing and consulting, and later ran the Investment Banking/Corporate Finance Division for the Western Canadian based brokerage firm, Wolverton Securities Ltd.

Jody Bellefleur
Jody Bellefleur – CFO

Ms. Bellefleur has been the Chief Financial Officer of Equitas since February 2014. She has also been the CFO of Zimtu Capital Corp. since June 2013, and has been with the Zimtu group since 2008. She is responsible for all aspects of the regulatory financial reporting, including preparation of quarterly financial statements and management discussion and analysis for all the companies in the Zimtu group. Prior to joining Zimtu, she worked independently as an accountant for various publicly listed mineral exploration companies, and prior to that, as an accountant with a private manufacturing company. Ms. Bellefleur is a CPA, CGA and a graduate of the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Commerce.

Frances Petryshen
Frances Petryshen – Corporate Secretary

Ms. Frances Petryshen brings over 25 years of management experience with a specialization in corporate compliance and governance for public, private and not for profit organizations. She has been a Director and Officer of several public and private companies. Most recently, Ms. Petryshen was Corporate Secretary for CanAlaska Uranium Ltd. (2007-2012) where she oversaw the company’s transition and growth from the TSX Venture Exchange to the TSX main board. Ms. Petryshen is an Accredited Director and a Fellow with the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (“ICSA”) where she currently serves as Director and Chair of the BC Branch and is also a Director for the Committee for Canada.
